My Year in Grade 5 was awesome.
At the beginning of the year I felt so happy and energetic. I was looking forward to meeting new people.
In writing I enjoyed writing about the fantasy unit and the argumentative unit, because you get so many ideas from other people. I worked hard to put my paragraphs together. I thought the argumentative writing was challenging for me because you had to research about animals. It was sad learning about animals dying.

In Reading I enjoyed fantasy. At first, I thought it was like fairy tales but it turned out to be different.
This was my 2 year doing Eureka Math. I thought math was challenging but it was challenging and fun. I know I am good at fractions and area models and I know I need more practice on multi step problems.
CORE Values. This was my second year learning about the year the Core Values. The most important Core Value to me is courage because sometimes I don't believe in myself. When I'm singing I I forget that and I feel brave. I enjoy performing.
My best memory of grade 5 is finding out that I was in the same classroom as Allan, having a friend in fifth grade was great. Being a House captain showed me more responsibility and I enjoyed cheering on other houses.
When I think about Middle School I feel excited and a little nervous. I know I must focus more on my work next year. I’m most looking forward to the lunch room and Digital Technology class. I think one challenge might be reading harder books. But I will try to read everyday and improve.
